22 Sep 2019

It may well end up being yet another season of "what if" for Ferrari, but at least they're ending it in style. Today marks their third consecutive win, their first 1-2 of the season and the first-ever at Singapore. In the process, they've seen Leclerc pass Verstappen in the drivers' championship and Vettel get to just five points behind. With upgrades coming and Sochi suiting them, they're surely favourites to win next week at Sochi. Join us there at 13:00 local time on Saturday and Sunday to see.

22 Sep 2019

The remaining finishing order: P11 GRO, P12 SAI, P13 STR, P14 RIC, P15 KVY, P16 KUB, P17 MAG. Retired: RAI, PER, RUS.

22 Sep 2019

Speaking of Hasly, he drove maybe his best race of the season to finish P8, just behind Lando Norris and ahead of Hulkenberg and Giovinazzi, who take the final points and complete the top ten.

22 Sep 2019

Bottas came home just behind his team-mate and just ahead of Albon, who looks far better in the Red Bull than Pierre Gasly did.

22 Sep 2019

Charles Leclerc comes home P2 and will be rather unhappy about it, not that his team will care much. They have their 1-2. Verstappen rounds out the podium after holding off Hamilton in the last few laps.

22 Sep 2019

Sebastian Vettel wins the Singapore Grand Prix!

22 Sep 2019

Final lap...

22 Sep 2019

Magnussen has set the fastest lap, taking the extra point from Bottas but not gaining it himself as he's nowhere near the top ten.

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton now right on the tail of Verstappen...

22 Sep 2019

Bottas has now gone purple, giving him the extra point.

22 Sep 2019

Well, he may have benefitted from his team's strategy, but you can't deny that Vettel has driven excellently today. At the crucial point in the race, he cut through the midfield runners far better than his rivals, and it's given him the win, it seems.

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton is pushing Verstappen, but not much else is happening at the front. It looks like it'll be a Ferrari 1-2 here.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel has set the fastest lap of the race, will he leave Singapore with 26 points?

22 Sep 2019

Again Magnussen can't warm his tyres up at the restart and drops down to P14, being passed by Grosjean, Sainz and Ricciardo.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel catches the field out and breaks away sooner than everybody expected, building a decent gap.

22 Sep 2019

Maybe not... The SC is coming in already. 10 laps to go.

22 Sep 2019

We do indeed... Well, that's that for the race you'd think, any changes are extremely unlikely.

22 Sep 2019

Raikkonen and Kvyat collide! The Finn breaks a wheel and is out of the race. Surely not ANOTHER SC?!

22 Sep 2019

Not much-happening upfront but it's chaos in the midfield. Magnussen made a mistake and dropped two places to P10 behind Gasly and Hulkenberg while Ricciardo also lost out and dropped to P16.

22 Sep 2019

Again, they all get away well, but Leclerc seems a lot closer to Vettel this time round.

22 Sep 2019

SC coming in.

22 Sep 2019

We may not reach 61 laps here if the SC lasts much longer. If the race reaches two hours, it'll simply end there, regardless of how many laps have been completed.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc is rather unhappy with his team for losing him the lead and wants Vettel to give him the place back. I'll tell you now Charles, there's absolutely no way that's happening.

22 Sep 2019

There is indeed. Again, this plays into the hands of Ferrari.

22 Sep 2019

Perez retires with a mechanical failure! Another Safety Car maybe?

22 Sep 2019

Vettel and Leclerc look comfortably upfront, while Hamilton is struggling to keep up with Verstappen at the moment.

22 Sep 2019

Lance Stroll has a puncture and drops to last place. He's pitting.

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton is all over the back of Verstappen but won't have DRS for two laps.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel makes a good getaway at the restart and stays comfortably ahead of Leclerc.

22 Sep 2019

Safety Car coming in...

22 Sep 2019

That was Williams' first DNF of the season. The one thing they had going for them...

22 Sep 2019

On the bright side for Ferrari, they have the chance to look after their tyres for a few laps. On the downside, the gap they had to Verstappen and Hamilton is now gone.

22 Sep 2019

Hulkenberg is the only car to take advantage and pit. He comes out P13.

22 Sep 2019

We do! The Safety Car is out!

22 Sep 2019

Our first DNF of the day is here! It's courtesy of Russell who collided with Grosjean. We may well have a SC here...

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton seems to think Ferrari are going for a two-stop race here.

22 Sep 2019

It was all going so well for Ricciardo, but the Aussie has picked up a puncture trying to pass Giovinazzi.

22 Sep 2019

The leaders have now passed the midfield runners and the top six looks far more normal.

22 Sep 2019

Verstappen moves up into P3.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc does the same. Ferrari are now officially P1 and P2 with just over half the race gone.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel takes the lead, passing Giovinazzi rather easily. An Italian letting a Ferrari through? Surely not.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel has just made an extremely risky move on Gasly! It worked, just about, but crikey it was close to disaster. Verstappen meanwhile has passed Stroll a bit less dramatically.

22 Sep 2019

Not to worry, he's now through. Meanwhile, Vettel has passed Ricciardo and is building a healthy lead.

22 Sep 2019

The longer the Monegasque is stuck behind Stroll, the closer Verstappen gets to him...

22 Sep 2019

Vettel has passed Stroll but Leclerc is struggling to do so.

22 Sep 2019

The front three at the moment are Giovinazzi, Ricciardo and Gasly. They'll all be pitting soon though.

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton pits! The Brit comes out way behind the three drivers he's fighting and just ahead of Bottas. He's on fresher tyres, but track position is far more important here.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel and Leclerc have now caught Stroll. If they can clear him quickly, they're well on for a 1-2 finish.

22 Sep 2019

Mercedes have just told Bottas to slow down and hold up Albon for Hamilton.

22 Sep 2019

It looks like Mercedes are counting on their rivals being held up by the midfield runners ahead of them.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel gained the upper hand on Leclerc through strategy, but his team-mate still seems to be quicker. There's a one-second gap between them.

22 Sep 2019

Bottas pits and comes out comfortably behind Vettel, Leclerc and Verstappen. At this rate, Hamilton could lose out to Hulkenberg and Albon too.

22 Sep 2019

The German team must surely just be hoping for a Safety Car in the next few laps. It's a huge gamble.

22 Sep 2019

For some bizarre reason, Hamilton is staying out. He'll almost definitely lose out to both Ferraris and maybe even Verstappen. What are Mercedes trying to do here? The mind boggles.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc pits and comes out behind Vettel! The German has nailed the undercut there, but will he lose out to Hamilton?

22 Sep 2019

Crucially, Vettel came out ahead of Hulkenberg and Verstappen didn't.

22 Sep 2019

Vettel and Verstappen pit! The German is stationary for 3.0 seconds and the Dutchman for 2.3 seconds. Both go onto the hard tyre.

22 Sep 2019

Meanwhile, Hulkenberg has *finally* passed Grosjean.

22 Sep 2019

Hamilton has responded at the front, closing the gap back down to a second.

22 Sep 2019

Nearly 20 laps in and no Safety Car yet. What sort of Singapore Grand Prix is this? Let's hope I've jinxed it.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc has responded, opening up a two-second gap to Hamilton.

22 Sep 2019

The big on-track battle right now is between Grosjean and Hulkenberg. A few days ago the two were fighting for the 2020 Haas seat. With Grosjean being renewed, they're now just fighting for P13.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc has been told on the radio to go "back to mode 'race'". And about time, too. Let's see what kind of pace the leader has.

22 Sep 2019

They are indeed starting to come in. Kvyat and Perez are the first to pit.

22 Sep 2019

If Leclerc pitted now, he'd come out in P17. The front runners best hope the midfield lose grip and come in soon.

22 Sep 2019

Kvyat is in freefall now, being passed by both Racing Points.

22 Sep 2019

#RicciradoWatch continues to be the most entertaining thing on track at the moment. He's just passed Kvyat to move up to P12 with a superb move at Turn 4.

22 Sep 2019

Verstappen and Bottas are pushing a bit more than the front three and catching them. Not that that means much.

22 Sep 2019

Ricciardo is enjoying himself so far today. He's already moved up seven places having just passed Stroll with a signature lunge down the inside.

22 Sep 2019

If you want any proof that the leade drivers are holding back at the moment, George Russell is the second-fastest man on track.

22 Sep 2019

The drivers all seem to be conserving their tyres at the moment. Vettel is just over a second off Hamilton and has the same gap to Verstappen behind.

22 Sep 2019

The Brit is rapidly catching Leclerc now. Overtaking here though is extremely difficult.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc has opened up a 1.2 second lead over Hamilton.

22 Sep 2019

Hulkenberg has pitted for hard tyres. Russell and Sainz follow him in, with the latter having a poor stop.

22 Sep 2019

Further back, Carlos Sainz had a terrible start and is running in last place. He must've made contact somewhere.

22 Sep 2019

And we're off! Leclerc gets a great start, staying well ahead of Hamilton and Vettel, who battle all the way to Turn 9 with the Mercedes just about holding him off.

22 Sep 2019

The formation lap is underway.

22 Sep 2019

Take your seats for what is sure to be a scintillating few hours. The 61-lap long Singapore Grand Prix is about to get underway.

22 Sep 2019

Wolff: "Being ahead in the first corner helps a lot. There might be chances with strategy - nobody knows whether it'll be a one or two-stop, so we'll see."

22 Sep 2019

The drivers are all lined up for the national anthem. 15 minutes until lights out.

22 Sep 2019

Leclerc: "It's not going to be easy to keep Mercedes behind, they are obviously very strong here."

22 Sep 2019

if Leclerc is to take his third consecutive win today, he'll need to see off two experts of this track, with both the drivers behind him, Hamilton and Vettel, taking four wins each here in their careers.

22 Sep 2019

In terms of strategy, Pirelli say that a one-stop race is the best option today. This is Singapore though, where Safety Cars, and the chaos they bring, are inevitable.

22 Sep 2019

The cars, which all look stunning under the lights, are starting to leave the pits and make their way to the grid. Just over half an hour until we get underway.

22 Sep 2019

It's a warm, muggy night at Marina Bay (30'C), which is sure to be extremely pleasant for the drivers. It's probably a good thing Daniel Ricciardo isn't going to be on the podium - a shooey here could be a serious health hazard.

22 Sep 2019

The rest of the grid is: P11 GAS, P12 RAI, P13 MAG, P14 KVY, P15 PER (five-place penalty), P16 STR, P17 GRO, P18 RUS, P19 KUB, P20 RIC (DSQ from Qualifying).

22 Sep 2019

Carlos Sainz once again looks to be the best of the rest, starting P7, with Nico Hulkenberg separating him and his team-mate Norris following Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from qualifying. Antonio Giovinazzi completes the top ten.

22 Sep 2019

Valterri Bottas also had a disappointing qualifying, only managing P5. Alex Albon, on the other hand, will be relatively pleased with his efforts - he was only around half a second slower than Verstappen and starts P6.

22 Sep 2019

Sebastian Vettel looked in fine form all-day up until the crucial moment as he made a mistake on his final flying lap, causing him to miss out on a much-needed pole. With his record at Singapore though, don't count him out. Behind him is Max Verstappen, who was disappointed to only start P4 at a track where Red Bull were expected to be strong.

22 Sep 2019

As I'm sure you all know by now, yesterday's session ended with Charles Leclerc storming to his third (!!) consecutive pole position - quite the achievement. He starts just ahead of championship leader Lewis Hamilton.

22 Sep 2019

Hello and welcome to the Marina Bay circuit for the Singapore Grand Prix. Can Charles Leclerc convert three pole positions in a row into three consecutive victories? Full build-up begins at 1900 local time with lights out at 2010.

21 Sep 2019

Out are: Kvyat, Stroll, Grosjean, Russell and Kubica. Not big surprises.

21 Sep 2019

The chequered flag is out...

21 Sep 2019

Bottas goes purple in the first sector as all those behind Mercedes except Albon head out for another run. Hamilton is purple in the second and Bottas in the third. A 1:37.317 for the Finn. Hamilton goes second, 0.248s down.

21 Sep 2019

One by one the drivers head back to the pits and with that the Mercedes team-mates head back out for a second run on new soft tyres. Drop zone: Raikkonen, Grosjean, Magnussen, Russell and Kubica.

21 Sep 2019

The Renaults are the last two to set times with Nico Hulkenberg up to 11th place and Daniel Ricciardo P10. Vettel's next attempt has moved him up to second place, 0.3s down on Leclerc.

21 Sep 2019

Vettel clocks a lap but it is only good enough for P6, 0.9s down on Leclerc.

21 Sep 2019

"I scraped the wall a couple of times" is Lance Stroll's radio message to Racing Point.

21 Sep 2019

For a power-less car, Sainz has just gone P4! Make that P5 as Verstappen puts his Red Bull up into second place. He's on the softs, the Mercedes drivers are running the mediums.

21 Sep 2019

Leclerc goes purple in all three sectors on his way to a 1:38.014, 0.6s up on Valtteri Bottas with Hamilton P3.

21 Sep 2019

Problem for Carlos Sainz as he reports "no power, I've got no power" but his McLaren is still going so clearly whatever that was has been sorted. On button?

21 Sep 2019

Robert Kubica breaks the silence as he leaves the pits in the Williams. He announced on Thursday that this season will be his first and last with Williams.

21 Sep 2019

Someone, anyone...?

21 Sep 2019

Green light, let's go...

21 Sep 2019

Five minutes til qualy...

21 Sep 2019

The track temperature has fallen to 35'C ahead of Q1, humidity levels though are up to almost 70. Not very comfortable.

21 Sep 2019

News just in is that Sergio Perez has a five-place grid penalty as Racing Point had to change his gearbox following his FP3 meeting with the Turn 22 wall. "After our inspection we found some damage so we had to change it," sporting director Andy Stevenson said.

21 Sep 2019

Pole position tonight is anyone's guess after Max Verstappen set the pace in FP1, Lewis Hamilton in FP2 and Charles Leclerc claimed an unexpected P1 in this evening's final practice. It seems Ferrari's updates - floor and nose - are working.

21 Sep 2019

Welcome back to the Marina Bay circuit for qualifying for the Singapore GP. All times are local.

Vettel goes quickest with a 1:36.720 but is then beaten by Leclerc by 0.070s! And out go: Perez, Giovinazzi, Gasly, Raikkonen and Magnussen.

21 Sep 2019

The chequered flag is out so now we wait for the flying laps to finish and for the top ten to be decided.

21 Sep 2019

And as to be expected everyone goes out at the same time. That's not a great plan around this circuit as, unlike Spa and Monaco, you don't want a tow here as it messes with the car's downforce.

21 Sep 2019

Engines are being fired up ahead of a second run...

21 Sep 2019

Drop zone: Giovinazzi, Gasly, Perez, Raikkonen and Magnussen. Giovinazzi is 0.117s off P10 which currently belongs to Hulkenberg.

21 Sep 2019

Verstappen is on a hot lap and it is P3 for the Red Bull driver, he is 0.159s off the pace. Oops Raikkonen has whacked the wall, left side of the car has taken a huge thump.

21 Sep 2019

But here comes Leclerc and that's P1 with a 1:36.930. Vettel crosses the line but it is only good enough for P4. Norris is fifth ahead of Sainz.

21 Sep 2019

Hamilton looks like he kisses the wall, if not that is a hair's breathe that saved him. He still goes quickest with a 1:37.0 and Bottas is second.

21 Sep 2019

Bottas, Hamilton and Leclerc are the first three out, one after the other. Vettel, Norris, Sainz, Hulkenberg join the party as one by one the drivers leave the pits.

21 Sep 2019

Green light and once again no immediate takers.

21 Sep 2019

And then there were 15...

21 Sep 2019

Well that's it from us for tonight. Join us tomorrow at 1GMT for the build-up to the Singapore Grand Prix. Cheers!

21 Sep 2019

Leclerc has done it again, putting his Ferrari on an unexpected pole. Hamilton is second ahead of Vettel, Verstappen, Bottas, Albon, Sainz, Hulkenberg, Sainz, Norris and Ricciardo. That is three in a row for Leclerc, who reckons he almost lost control "three times in the lap". Not a bad lap then, eh?

21 Sep 2019

Here comes Hamilton and he goes second, also beating Vettel. He is 0.191s down on Leclerc. Bottas is fifth.

21 Sep 2019

Vettel does not complete his lap after one too many errors. Verstappen stays third, Leclerc snatches pole position! A 1:36.217 for the Monaco driver puts him on provisional pole.

21 Sep 2019

The chequered flag is out...

21 Sep 2019

Vettel is not as fast in the first sector as he was on his first lap, Verstappen is also down... but Leclerc is up.

21 Sep 2019

Vettel has overtaken Hulkenberg to lead the queue ahead of the German. The two Mercedes have joined the party as has Albon.

21 Sep 2019

Renault blink first followed by Vettel, Sainz, Verstappen, Ricciardo and Leclerc.

21 Sep 2019

It is then Albon, Sainz, Norris, Ricciardo and Hulkenberg. And back to the pits they all go for fresh tyres.

21 Sep 2019

Leclerc goes second, 0.354s down, Verstappen is third and the Mercedes are fourth and fifth with Hamilton ahead of Bottas.

21 Sep 2019

Vettel goes purple in the first sector, purple in the second, and it is a 1:36.437 for the Ferrari driver.

21 Sep 2019

Vettel starts his hot lap as Bottas backs up from Sainz.

21 Sep 2019

Let the games begin as one by one all 10 drivers take to the track with Vettel leading the field followed by the two McLarens, make that one McLaren and Bottas and another McLaren and then Leclerc.

21 Sep 2019

Green light...

21 Sep 2019

Every time Ferrari have gone into Q3 this season with the 1-2 in Q2 they have taken pole. Can the run continue? Let's find out...

21 Sep 2019

The ten drivers fighting for pole: Leclerc, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen, Bottas, Norris, Albon, Sainz, Ricciardo and Hulkenberg.

20 Sep 2019

That's it for now, join us again in two hours for FP2. Cheers.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen finishes P1 with a 1:40.259, 0.167s up on Vettel with Hamilton - on the hard tyres - 0.666s off the pace. Honourable mention to Kubica, P17 ahead of Perez, Leclerc and Russell.

20 Sep 2019

The chequered flag is out on FP1...

20 Sep 2019

Back out on track Raikkonen has moved up to P14.

20 Sep 2019

Still early days but Raikkonen is not having a good time today. He is P20, 3.8s down. He has, however, only done 11 laps and has just returned to the pits with what looks like something in his Alfa's engine box.

20 Sep 2019

Leclerc, in the Ferrari garage, has fallen all the way down to 18th place.

20 Sep 2019

Sainz is not at all happy with Hamilton, saying he won't "get out of the way". Sainz is on the soft tyres, Hamilton the hards. "I cannot believe it - have you seen Hamilton? He cannot get out of the way."

20 Sep 2019

Here's one for you... can you find Kubica on the timesheets? P20? P19? P18... nope he is P14!

20 Sep 2019

A much better lap from Norris and he moves up to seventh place. Kyvat, Gasly and Ricciardo currently complete the top ten.

20 Sep 2019

Bottas is back in the Mercedes garage, trudging his way to the rear and away from the cameras.

20 Sep 2019

Yellow flags for Norris as he gets it wrong at Turn 7 and goes straight on. He works his way back out and onto the track.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen, Vettel and Hamilton - the top three - all take to the track.

20 Sep 2019

Ferrari are playing around with parts with Vettel's car now fitted with the new floor but old front wing.

20 Sep 2019

Green light and off we go with Sainz the first man out, practicing a start on his way out of the pits.

20 Sep 2019

Still under red...

20 Sep 2019

Replays show Bottas was already fighting the car a few corners earlier. It was a hefty whack for the Finn, ripping the steering wheel out of his hands.

20 Sep 2019

The great news is that Bottas is fine. He walks away from the car after being given the all-clear as the rest of the field heads back to the pits.

20 Sep 2019

He has left some serious rubber down on the track. He went super aggressive into 19, slammed brakes, and bam... met the tyre barrier.

20 Sep 2019

Yellow flag, make that a red! Bottas is in the wall at Turn 19 and out of FP1. He lost the rear of his W10 and has done some serious damage to the left side of the car. "Sorry guys," he says.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen improves to P1, a 1:40.2 to go 0.167s up on Vettel.

20 Sep 2019

Daniel Ricciardo meet wall. Wall meet Daniel Ricciardo. He is the second driver to brush up against the wall this session with Bottas having had a brief brush earlier.

20 Sep 2019

While that was going on Verstappen, also running the soft tyres, moved up to second place.

20 Sep 2019

Pulling in to the pits, Leclerc immediately turns the car off to save the engine.

20 Sep 2019

Trouble for Leclerc, who is on the old floor. Something popped on the car and popped is the only word to describe it. He is still in fourth and slowly making his way back to the pits. "There's a problem," he tells Ferrari. Yes there is.

20 Sep 2019

Vettel takes to the track with the new floor on his SF90. He goes purple in the first sector but is on the soft tyres compared to Mercedes' hard. He goes quickest with a 1:40.426.

20 Sep 2019

It is a 1:41.4 for the reigning World Champion, 0.103s down on Bottas' P1 time.

20 Sep 2019

Hamilton is also running the hard tyres but he is not making inroads on Bottas' time, at least not in the first sector. He goes green in the second and...

20 Sep 2019

If you are wondering where Ferrari are, Leclerc has dropped to ninth and Vettel P12 as their floors are swapped.

20 Sep 2019

Bottas gets it right and goes quickest, a 1:41.3 for the Finn. And his team-mate Hamilton takes to the track looking to regain P1.

20 Sep 2019

"8. 11 and 12". Those are the three corners that Bottas is told he made mistakes.

20 Sep 2019

Three greens for the Finn and he improves to second, 0.43s down on Hamilton.

20 Sep 2019

Bottas breaks the silence as he leaves the pits on a set of hard tyres.

20 Sep 2019

One by one the drivers head back to the pits to hand their first set of tyres back to Pirelli. Expect a few minutes' lull.

20 Sep 2019

Make that P2 as Hamilton goes quickest, a 1:41.4 which is half a second up on Verstappen's time.

20 Sep 2019

"The car is bouncing massively so I have massive oscillations on the pedal," is Verstappen's assessment after his P1 lap.

20 Sep 2019

No Ferraris on the track at the moment as work is going on both sides of the garage. Looks as if mechanics are swapping the new floor from Leclerc's car to Vettel's.

20 Sep 2019

Pit stop practice over at Renault, stop watch and all from track operations director Alan Permane.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen has returned to the track after a few set-up changes for his RB15. He is still on his first set of soft Pirellis. He sets a fastest middle sector on his way to a 1:41.9 and that's P1. Stroll has improved to fourth in the Racing Point.

20 Sep 2019

P1 for Hamilton, a 1:42.412. That puts him 0.629s up on Bottas.

20 Sep 2019

Replays show Hamilton almost lost his front wing as Sainz's McLaren shot passed him.

20 Sep 2019

Hamilton is the last man to put in a timed lap... but it is a really slow 2.03. Not sure what went wrong there. But Mercedes need not worry because he just went purple in the first sector...

20 Sep 2019

George Russell is not having a great time as he reports massive vibrations. "I had a bit of a weird vibration under braking into Turn 18 - at the front axel," he said. And we have a change at the top as Bottas goes quickest, a 1:43.0. He is 0.03s up on Verstappen.

20 Sep 2019

New driver up in P1 and it is Verstappen. A 1:43.0 for the Red Bull driver.

20 Sep 2019

Christian Horner is on the mic with Sky Sports, saying he would not have signed Grosjean if he was the Haas boss, and reckons Hulkenberg deserves a race seat but that it won't be with Red Bull.

20 Sep 2019

Grosjean is having a problem passing the cars in front of him due to a DRS issue. More drivers have taken to the track and now half the field has set times. The Ferraris are still 1-2.

20 Sep 2019

Leclerc's P1 time is down to a 1:43 with Vettel 1.4s down. Hulkenberg goes third.

20 Sep 2019

A sparking Hulkenberg joins the party. Looks like Renault are going to need to raise the ride height as that RS19 is hitting every single tiny bump - and there are a lot of them around the Marina Bay street circuit.

20 Sep 2019

The Ferrari team-mates have each done five laps, joined now by Kubica.

20 Sep 2019

Leclerc has upped his pace to a 1:44.7 while Vettel is also putting in the laps. He is, however, 1.3 seconds down on his team-mate.

20 Sep 2019

Leclerc lays down a 1:46.1 in his revised Ferrari. The Scuderia's car are sporting a new nose design today.

20 Sep 2019

Everyone except Valtteri Bottas and Kubica has been out.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen, Kimi Raikkonen and Hamilton are the latest to put in their installation laps.

20 Sep 2019

Kevin Magnussen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Daniil Kvyat and Alexander Albon are the next out, leading out a train of cars.

20 Sep 2019

Green light, let's go with Pierre Gasly the first man out.

20 Sep 2019

Almost...

20 Sep 2019

If you missed yesterday's news, Romain Grosjean has re-signed with Haas for 2020, Nico Hulkenberg is running out of options and Robert Kubica has announced he will leave Williams at the end of this year.

20 Sep 2019

If you aren't aware yet this is a night race, well except for this practice. The sun is still out, the lights are off and it is probably one of the least representative sessions on the calendar. However, the drivers can at least learn the track's layout. Air temperature is 31'C and the track is up to 42'C.

20 Sep 2019

The good news this week is that the haze from the Indonesian fires that had settled over Singapore has lifted a bit. The air pollution levels are now moderate. The race organisers, though, so have a plan in place should the levels become dangerous.

20 Sep 2019

Red Bull haven't won at the Marina Bay circuit since Sebastian Vettel's hat-trick from 2011 to 2013. BTW he is tied with Hamilton for the record for the most Singapore GP wins, four, but given his current form he's not one of the favourites to win this weekend.

20 Sep 2019

As such many are expecting Red Bull to be the team to challenge Mercedes this weekend. Although Lewis Hamilton is chasing his third straight Singapore GP win, and Mercedes' fourth, the circuit is well suited to Red Bull's RB15.

20 Sep 2019

Formula 1 arrives at the Marina Bay circuit on the back of two Ferrari wins. Charles Leclerc was P1 in Belgium and again in Italy. However, this Singapore circuit is a completely different beast. Gone are the long fast-flowing straights, instead it is corner after corner after corner.

20 Sep 2019

Good afternoon and welcome to the Marina Bay circuit for the first of Friday's two practice sessions for the Singapore GP. All times are local.

20 Sep 2019

Well, the most logical conclusion from that session is that Hamilton and Verstappen are the ones to beat, and Vettel could be the guy to do it. We have one more session to go before qualifying, so join us for FP3 tomorrow.

20 Sep 2019

Kvyat, Ricciardo, Perez, Giovinazzi, Stroll, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Russell, Magnussen and Kubica complete the order.

20 Sep 2019

Time is up. Hamilton tops FP2. Verstappen is P2 well clear of Vettel in P3. Bottas P4, Albon P5, Leclerc P6, Sainz P7, Hulkenberg P8, Norris P9 and Gasly completes the top ten.

20 Sep 2019

5 mins to go in the session as Grosjean goes for a spin at Turn 2. He blames that on his team talking to him over the radio. Oh Romain.

20 Sep 2019

Hamilton backs out of a potential overtake on Gasly, the Brit isn't very happy.

20 Sep 2019

Stewards have noted the Perez/Magnussen incident but nothing yet on any investigation.

20 Sep 2019

Vettel improves to P3 ahead of Bottas, he could have been further up the leaderboard before this though if he hadn't have been held up so badly during his qualy sim.

20 Sep 2019

Almost a crash for Magnussen and Perez there as Magnussen tries to overtake a slow Perez to start a flying lap, before Perez tries to squeeze him into the wall. The stewards will be very interested in that one.

20 Sep 2019

Qualy simulations drawing to a close now.

20 Sep 2019

Hamilton goes back to P1 with a 1:38.7, Verstappen P2, Bottas P3 and Albon P4. Vettel was blocked by the "sleeping" Kevin Magnussen on what was a very quick lap.

20 Sep 2019

A 1:38.9 for Verstappen, now that's a cracking time. All the big players on flyers here.

20 Sep 2019

Albon goes back out with a new front wing and the soft tyres - P1 for him under a tenth up on Hamilton.

20 Sep 2019

Russell up to P7, two tenths quicker than Vettel. We are being serious. Softs for Russell, mediums for Vettel.

20 Sep 2019

Verstappen goes two tenths shy of Hamilton on the hard compound. Hamilton quickly strikes back though and becomes the first driver into the 1:39s.

20 Sep 2019

Broken front wing for Albon who has hit the barrier at Turn 10. He gets going again and is crawling back to the pits.

20 Sep 2019

Sergio Perez is mixing it with the big boys in P3 behind the Mercedes duo.

20 Sep 2019

Hamilton sets a 1:40.6 on the medium compound to comfortably take over P1.

20 Sep 2019

Big lock-up for Albon as he takes to the run-off. He was four tenths up on the fastest time on that lap too.

20 Sep 2019

Alex Albon is displaced from P1 by the Williams of George Russell, well, never thought we would be saying that. Russell was on the softs though while Albon ran the hards.

20 Sep 2019

Antonio Giovinazzi is 2 seconds down on his Alfa Romeo team-mate after his first flying lap.

20 Sep 2019

A 1:43.996 on the mediums is the marker laid down by Kimi.

20 Sep 2019

Kimi Raikkonen sets off on a flying lap.

20 Sep 2019

The green light goes on, FP2 is underway. Also huge props to Mercedes for getting Bottas' car ready to go for this session. Leclerc's car is still being worked on.

20 Sep 2019

Just a few minutes to go now until FP2 begins.

20 Sep 2019

Nico Hulkenberg was on form and claimed P6 as he looks to secure a drive for 2020, while Robert Kubica, who is in the same boat, got himself into the midfield battle in FP1. But now for this session the lights are on around the circuit and FP2 will give us some more representative running.

20 Sep 2019

Alex Albon ended FP1 over a second down on Verstappen, but this is his first experience of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, so he will continue his familiarisation with the track in FP2.

20 Sep 2019

Bottas smashed his W10 into the barriers late in FP1. It will be a race against time to get him out on track for this session.

20 Sep 2019

Lewis Hamilton finished FP1 six tenths adrift in P3, but he didn't use the soft tyres like those ahead, instead setting his best time on the hard compound.

20 Sep 2019

Max Verstappen topped FP1 0.167s of Sebastian Vettel. It wasn't such a good session for his Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc who ended up P19 after a gearbox problem.

20 Sep 2019

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of FP2 at the Singapore Grand Prix. All times are local.

21 Sep 2019

Well, are Ferrari actually in this fight for pole? That session would suggest so. Join us for qualifying where we will find out.

21 Sep 2019

Stroll, Gasly, Raikkonen, Perez, Russell, Giovinazzi, Magnussen, Grosjean, Kubica and Kvyat complete the FP3 order.

21 Sep 2019

P4 Bottas, P5 Albon, P6 Verstappen, P7 Sainz, P8 Norris, P9 Hulkenberh and P10 Ricciardo completes the top 10.

21 Sep 2019

That's it for the session, Leclerc takes P1. Hamilton and Vettel make up the rest of the top three.

21 Sep 2019

Not the cleanest lap from Verstappen but still the fact he can't get within a second of Leclerc is concerning.

21 Sep 2019

Hamilton escapes the traffic and improves to a 1:38.399. That puts him P2 and 0.2s down on Leclerc.

21 Sep 2019

Hamilton is facing the right way now but struggling with traffic. Bottas has improved but he is still seven tenths shy of Leclerc. Vettel is six tenths slower than his team-mate.

21 Sep 2019

It's all going on. Perez appears to need a gearbox change after his crash which will see him drop five places on the grid, meanwhile Hamilton has just spun coming out of the pits on his brand new softs.

21 Sep 2019

Who ever said Singapore wouldn't suit Ferrari? A 1:38.1 for Leclerc to go a second quicker than Bottas.

21 Sep 2019

Bad news for Kvyat, looks like a PU change.

21 Sep 2019

Bottas sets a 1:39.166 on the softs, not a big advantage over Leclerc there at all, only two tenths. Verstappen finally sets a time but it's only good enough for P3.

21 Sep 2019

Track green again.

21 Sep 2019

VSC was out but the session is now red flagged.

21 Sep 2019

Sergio Perez has hit the wall. Thankfully it was at Turn 22 so he didn't have far to go to return to the pits - the right rear is damaged.

21 Sep 2019

Leclerc, Hamilton, Vettel and Bottas are the current top four with half the session remaining.

21 Sep 2019

Daniil Kvyat's Honda engine is smoking away, he makes it back into the pits.

21 Sep 2019

Leclerc moves into P1 with a 1:39.3, though that was set on the soft tyres.

21 Sep 2019

A 1:40.320 from Hamilton on the mediums puts him P1, Bottas improves slightly but is still 0.4s down on his team-mate.

21 Sep 2019

Albon is just over a tenth down on Bottas, yet he was running the softs while Bottas was on the medium tyres.

21 Sep 2019

A 1:40.926 from Bottas.

21 Sep 2019

Bottas must have heard us as he goes for an exploratory lap.

21 Sep 2019

The track is empty at the moment.

21 Sep 2019

McLaren, Renault, Haas and Toro Rosso send their drivers out for an installation lap before all return to the pits.

21 Sep 2019

Away we go for 60 minutes of FP3.

21 Sep 2019

Five minutes to go now until we have the green light for FP3.

21 Sep 2019

The midfield order has been ever changing and very very tight so far in Singapore, even Williams were in the battle. We can't wait to see the latest twists that FP3 will offer.

21 Sep 2019

Valtteri Bottas and Charles Leclerc are still playing a bit of catch up after their FP1 issues, while Alex Albon has a huge challenge on his hands to keep up with Red Bull team-mate Verstappen.

21 Sep 2019

Maybe that person could be Sebastian Vettel? He has won four times at the Marina Bay circuit, a record he shares with Lewis Hamilton, and oh boy does he need a result right now.

21 Sep 2019

Max Verstappen traded P1 with Lewis Hamilton in yesterday's practice sessions. They seem in a league of their own early on so it will be interesting to see who, if anyone, can step up in FP3.

21 Sep 2019

Not the news the drivers want to hear but that humidity will reach 70% by the time qualifying starts at 9pm local time!

21 Sep 2019

It is set to be another sweltering hot evening at the Marina Bay circuit with the air temperature currently 32'C. With the humidity at 55%, well that doesn't make for a very pleasant evening.

21 Sep 2019

Welcome back to the Marina Bay circuit for Saturday's third and final practice. This is the Singapore GP weekend and all times are local.
