Thursday's Formula 1 press conference ahead of the weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone got a little bit side-tracked.

Attended by Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo), Daniel Ricciardo (Renault), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Lando Norris (McLaren), and George Russell (Williams) the conference was interrupted by uncontrollable laughter.

It all started with The Sunjournalist, Ben Hunt, asking Britain's Lewis Hamilton: "There's no question about the support you have with F1 fans, they all adore you and think you’re great for what you’re doing, the titles you’re winning. You’ve also struggled sometimes to win over some of the other British public, non-F1 fans. Can you put your finger on that at all, any reason why you don’t have the same universal adulation as Nigel Mansell had, say?"

Lewis responded with: "I don’t really… I don’t know. I don’t really generally feel that, but people have the right to choose who they support and what I can say is that… I remember growing up in Stevenage.

"I never in a million years thought I’d have a single supporter besides my mum and my dad. I feel really privileged in just even having one but quite a lot of people come here and I’m so grateful just for that, which is more than enough for me, so the more the merrier. I guess the more and more time I spend here, I guess you have more and more opportunity to turn people’s opinions. But ultimately, as I said, I’m grateful for what I do have."

But Lando had another theory and quickly added: "Maybe it’s the moustache!"

A shy Lewis responded: "The moustache? What, the fact that I can’t really grow much?"

Lando sheepishly admitted: "Well, I can’t do much better either. Mansell’s one was alright."

It's then that the always mischievous Daniel was seen whispering to Lando: "Have you got pubes yet?"

Caught off-guard by Daniel's cheeky comment in front of the press, Lando burst out in laughter. At one stage he was wiping away the tears as he blushed bright red.
