WATCH: Fit for racing - this is how F1 drivers workout at the gym

New Williams Formula 1 driver George Russel recently shared videos on Instagram of what he goes through to ready his body (and mind) for the new season.

The Briton, 20, signed a multi-year deal with Williams in October 2018 and is the reigning Formula 2 champion.

Russell posted an exercise that attempts to simulate the high G-force drivers undergo when cornering during a race.

Keep a look out for another gym member in the background who manages to grab a peek at what Russell is enduring.

The second clip shows Russell using a 10kg free weight as a 'steering wheel' and simulating driving around a track while balancing on a bosu ball.
