Over at Wheels24 we just love Renault F1 team's Daniel Ricciardo.
The Australian is always up for a challenge and ready to let down his guard when it comes to having fun. In all of the Formula 1 paddock, there is not a driver who is as fun-driven and humorous as he is. Maybe Lando Norris, but the two of them often have under-the-belt conversations.
Over the last couple of weeks, Ricciardo ensured for great content on our website which not only revolved around only the lighter side of F1, but also how the Renault driver is pushing the status quo on what we’ve come to expect from the sport's drivers.
In the video below, Ricciardo attended a ThundaMentals concert and joined the Australian hip-hop musicians on stage. Not to be outdone, Ricciardo, rocking a shorts and t-shirt, spat a few lines. It’s hilarious to see the F1 star duping it out on the live platform in front of an audience - and they loved every second of it.
Who knows, maybe Ricciardo will feature on Lewis Hamilton’s next rap album.
Ricciardo is out of contract at the end of 2020 and will be looking to secure his F1 future very soon.
The Australian shocked the F1 world in 2018 when he announced his departure from Red Bull Racing to Renault. And while the increase in salary will not be scoffed at, the results told a different story. But for Renault, 2020 will be an important year if they are to continue with Ricciardo into 2021.
Ricciardo has been on Ferrari's hit list for the last couple of years, but circumstances often came into play that prevented the parties from forming a partnership. While Ferrari said they'll make a decision on their 2021 driver line-up in May this year, Ricciardo would want to do his best to get Ferrari's attention on him.
If he does end up joining Ferrari at the end of 2020, Ricciardo will partner his friend, Charles Leclerc, at the Scuderia.
