First revealed as a concept model at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo, the Sonet will be the second Kia product to be produced in India; following in the footsteps of the popular Seltos. Signature Kia design traits, such as the 'tiger nose' grille, will feature on the Sonet, with the crossover penned in such a way that it emphasizes Kia's 'dynamic DNA, and merging emotive design with a premium and youthful appeal.'

Karim Habib, senior vice president and head of Kia's Design Center, says: "With the new KIA Sonet, we had the ambition to give this compact SUV a strong and muscular character found only in much larger vehicles. With this in mind, we have designed what we believe is a great SUV with a uniquely sporty attitude, a confident stance and a dynamic silhouette."

The Sonet is aimed at a younger generation who are tech-savvy, aspirational, and socially connected, says Kia. This could mean that the Sonnet will feature several new technologies seen for the first time on a Kia. Let's wait and see…

Kia South Africa stresses that pricing, as well as the specifications for our market, will be revealed closer to the local launch.
