Lexus South Africa announced a raft of interior and technology-focused upgrades across its SUV line-up. The luxury-arm of Toyota says it's driven by the Japanese Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement.
Introduced in November, Lexus has revised their SUV models' specifications. The carmaker's SUV line-up includes the flagship LX, RX and NX models.
The LX is the only SUV in the range powered by a V8 engine. It has permanent four-wheel-drive and offers seating for up to eight passengers.
The LX line-up comprises two model derivatives, the 5.7 V8 Petrol and the 4.5 V8 Diesel.
The flagship wears a satin chrome-framed spindle grille, complementing the LED headlights with adaptive high beam system. Its design includes roof rails and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Specification upgrades to the flagship LX:
Wireless headsets will be made available for the LX range and will come standard with any purchase to ensure the driver and front passenger are safe when driving, the current LX will have a buzzer function for the seatbelts not worn.
Lexus has introduced a new colour for the LX - Terrane Khaki which was first seen on the UX.
A new interior trim is also introduced, Ochre - a natural clay earth pigment with a mixture of clay and sand tones.
