It might sound like a new 'Joker' character in a Marvel movie but the Hyundai Grappler is a real car which is set to be revealed in November at the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
Everything about the hatch is made to go off-road with an increased ground clearance and custom front and rear brush guards ready to tackle the elements.
Rough, tough and rugged
It is fitted with oversized all-terrain tyres, rally-themed Method Racing wheels and a Borla exhaust that adds further grunt to its appearance. A roof-mounted Thule utility basket is present in case you need to haul cargo while utility lights provide excellent illumination for night driving.
The basket also serves as a base mount for the removable solar panel powering an all-electric portable power station mounted inside in the car.
Staying on the outside, it features a custom vinyl body wrap with a ghosted Hyundai-themed livery. To top everything off nicely, there is a a Seibon carbon-fibre bonnet with vents to expel excess heat.
Behind the wheel
On the inside, an integrated roll bar provides protection while also providing space for a full-size spare wheel and tyre. It also comes fully equipped with traction mats, an oversized utility shovel, a Goal Zero portable power station, roadside assistance and first aid kit, a Napier outdoor dome tent, Scosche Mounts, crush lights and premium Recaro seats.
Hyundai genuine accessories round out the functionality of the vehicle, adding sport pedals, a sport shifter, all-weather mats, ambient footwell lighting and cargo blocks.
