WATCH: A look at the fourth-generation SA-bound Mazda3

The Mazda 3 has always been in and amongst the options for buyers looking to purchase something other than a Volkswagen or Ford.

Its new fourth generation is well on par in both the design and performance department, giving the buyer more bang for buck.

Options and changes

Mazda's famed SkyActiv engine technology is present in the line-up with a 85kW 1.8-litre diesel and a 89kW 2.0-litre petrol version.

Adaptive cruise control and LED headlights come as standard on all models while the interior cabin was made with driver convenience in mind.

Pricing for the current model starts from R269 000 for the sedan and R274 700 for the hatchback.
