The SUV segment in South Africa is becoming more and more congested but amidst all of that, Toyota has hit the sweet spot with their latest offering.
With its sharp and contrasting design, the Toyota C-HR, short for Coupe-High-Rider, has become a surprising best-seller in global markets.
Sporty and economical
The model being highlighted in the video is the 2.0-litre hybrid which is not available in SA. Local models make use of a 1.2-litre turbo engine across the range mated to either a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox with a power figure of 85kW and 185Nm.
The new model range will be available in South Africa early in 2020, albeit the hybrid version. Pricing and more details will be available closer to its local launch.
The current-model pricing starts from R352 400 and comes with a standard 90 000km service plan and 3-year or 100 000km warranty across the line-up.
