POLL: 'As cheap as possible' - thousands of readers believe cars for SA's new Cabinet ministers shouldn't be an expensive status symbol

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced his new Cabinet members. We asked readers what they thought our new ministers should be driving.

Our homepage poll garnered more than 14 000 votes.

When it comes to government cars, many readers (38%) believe that transportation should be as "cheap as possible".

Interestingly, 36% believed that government ministers should use public transport and only 2% thought that a government car should be an expensive status symbol.
