An Audi dealership in Somerset West in the Western Cape was hit in a heist over the weekend.
The Daily Voice reports thieves entered the dealership without force at 23:00 on Saturday. According to the publication, a source close to the investigation said the culprits hit without being noticed.
The unnamed source said: "They [the thieves] didn't break anything to gain entry, and they even gained access to the office where the car keys are kept. The padlocks were next to the barricades. It was around 02:00 yesterday [Sunday] when the auto theft was reported to the police. The alarm didn't go off; it only went off in the morning, hours after the incident occurred. There is no sign of forced entry and no one knows how they got in and out without being noticed."

What was stolen?
The Daily Voice reported that an R8 was among the stolen vehicles.
Two people were arrested in connection with the car theft, police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said.
"Two of the four vehicles have been recovered – an Audi SUV in Bloemfontein and an Audi R8 in Beaufort West. Two subjects have been arrested and are being detained. The other two vehicles are still being sought," Traut said.
Audi's R8 is a revered sports car that first arrived on local shores in 2006. The car is renowned for its Lamborghini-sourced 5.2-litre V10 engine, coupled with the automaker's famed quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi South Africa revealed the new, facelifted R8 sports car will officially go on sale in the coming months.
The new R8's engine will produce 449kW and 560Nm, allowing the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in as little as 3.2 seconds. Top speed for the Coupé is 331km/h, while the Spyder's is 329km/h.
Pricing for Audi's new R8 is R3 336 000 (Coupé) and R3 592 500 (Spyder).
