AlphaTauri has confirmed Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda as its drivers for the 2022 Formula 1 season. Following a more than successful 2021 season so far, the two drivers have been rewarded for their inputs and impressive performances.
Tsunoda joined Gasly at the team for the 2021 season. Though his performances have been up and down, the team opted to renew his contract.
In the 2022 F1 drivers' championship, Gasly is placed in ninth place on 66 points. AlphaTauri is sixth on 84 points in the constructors' championship - just six points behind fifth-placed Alpine.
