News24's lifestyle editor, Herman Eloff writes about the significance of seeing his sporting heroes proudly showing of their allyship in Hungary during the weekend's Grand Prix.

Hungary last month implemented a new law that, as the European Union (EU) describes it, is a "flagrant form of discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression".

The law prevents the depiction and teaching of homosexuality or transgender issues to those under 18.
