 There are several records Formula 1 drivers do not wish to have. Some are never to be spoken of: from the most prolonged period between wins to competing in races and never appearing on the podium.

Alpine driver Fernando Alonso added his name to one of those taboo records. And though F1 fans are mighty happy the Spaniard made his return to the podium at the recent Qatar Grand Prix, the accompanying story will not put a smile on his face.
