•  210kW/400Nm from 2.0-litre petrol engine
•  Revised chassis for sharper handling
•  World first – InControl smartphone apps

The Range Rover Evoque will soon be carrying Land Rover’s acclaimed Autobiography badge - which will proclaim it the most powerful Evoque yet produced.

The Autobiography Dynamic makes 210kW/400Nm from its two-litre turbo engine (the latter up from 340Nm in the previous most powerful model) and is delivers motion through a nine-speed ZF transmission.

NEW ALL-WHEEL DRIVE

Land Rover says one of the world’s first four-wheel drive systems of its kind, active driveline, improves traction, enhances agility and reduces fuel consumption by engaging  seamlessly and automatically when required.

The steering has been tuned for better on-centre precision; there’s an upgraded suspension and upgraded 350mm front brake discs; torque vectoring by braking is standard to reduce understeer on all surfaces, providing more responsive handling.

Land Rover will also launch InControl Apps* across its model range. InControl Apps, says the automaker, enables vehicle-optimised smartphone apps to be displayed and controlled with their original look-and-feel from the vehicle’s touchscreen.

Director of Land Rover programmes Murray Dietsch said: “The introduction of InControlTM Apps with the new range-topping Autobiography Dynamic takes the Range Rover Evoque’s core strengths a step further with better connectivity, desirability, luxury and dynamic ability.”

SPECIAL BADGES

Lookswise, there are a new grille, lower front valance, jewel-like lights and 20” alloy rims. There’s also identifying Autobiography badges on the tail and front wings and a new body colour called Phoenix Orange for the Dynamic Evoque derivatives.

The cabin has a choice of six leather interiors and customers and sports or climate seats in a choice of four colours. Head restraints feature an embossed logo and there is more badging on the illuminated door sills.

The automaker says the InControl Apps will be market dependent.
