Mitsubishi has reservations to take the local market by storm with the introduction of their new Xpander seven-seater.

There are two models available in the local line-up, both of which feature a MIVEC-equipped 1.5-litre engine that produces 77kW and 141Nm. Pricing starts from R299 995 for the manual and increases to R319 995 for the automatic derivative.

The Japanese brand claims a fuel consumption of 6.9-litres/100km and 7.0-litres/100km, respectively.

New kid on the block

Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa (MMSA), says: "The way in which other markets have reacted to the Xpander, as well as the host of awards it has won, is nothing short of impressive. We are, understandably, very excited to be able to add the Xpander to our local line-up of Mitsubishi products as we believe local buyers will embrace it with the same enthusiasm."
