Peugeot has updated its 3008 SUV with some notable upgrades in the design and technology department.
Such is the SUV's popularity that it has achieved commercial performance in Europe and internationally, also scooping the Car of The Year award in 2017.
The SUV makes use of a turbo 1.6-litre petrol engine that develops 121kW and 240Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission - standard across the range. It returns a fuel economy of 7-litres/100km. For those interested, it accelerates to 100km/h in 8.9-seconds.

New body colour options, a frameless front grille and full LED rear lights are some of the standout features. The 3008 is available in seven body colours - Celebes Blue, Vertigo Blue, Pearl White, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey, Perla Nera Black and Ultimate Red.
Customers can choose between Active, Allure and GT trim levels with price tags of R514 900, R574 900, R644 900, respectively.
The entry Active model comes standard with 17-inch Aluminium wheels, EcoLED lighting, visibility pack, hands-free start, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear parking aid, 8-inch Infotainment system with mirror screen, cruise control with speed limiter and rear parking assistance.
Further down is the Allure trim that comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, hands-free access and start, hands-free tailgate, ambient lighting and tinted windows, safety plus package, electric folding mirrors, front & rear parking aid + VisioPark 1, 180-degree camera and PET & fabric upholstery.
The GT is the top of the range model that features all the bells and whistles, starting with the 19-inch alloy wheels. Other features include a drive assist pack, full LED headlights, front & rear parking aid plus VisioPark 2, 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charging, 10-inch HD infotainment system with navigation, FOCAL Hifi, massaging electric seats and a red Nappa leather upholstery.
The driver can choose between Normal, Sport and Eco driving modes. The driver can also navigate via a 10-inch central touchscreen, while a 12.3-inch digital dashboard provides additional functionality.
