Suzuki is building on their record-setting sales success by introducing a facelifted version of their popular Swift hatchback that has officially been launched in South Africa.
The Japanese brand sold an impressive 2 397 new vehicles during March.
The refreshed model features a host of aesthetic upgrades, still retaining the original Swift's frugal capabilities. All models in the range use a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 61kW and 113Nm, coupled to a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. Suzuki claims an impressive 4.9-litres/100km fuel consumption.
Pricing starts from R180 900 for the entry-level GA Manual model up to R234 900 for the range-topping GLX model.
Fresh and funky appearance
New additions on the facelift include a distinctive chrome accents on the grille, full wheel covers for the steel rims on the base models, and rear parking sensors as standard across the range.
All models feature electric windows, air conditioning, and central locking. The GL models add fog lights, an audio system with USB and AUX inputs, a tachometer, and electrically adjustable mirrors. A high-resolution colour touch screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a reverse camera also form part of the package.
