Cape Town - Ever wondered what a Land Rover Defender, sporting a 4.7-litre V8, 18" alloy wheels, lowered springs, uprated dampers, an upgraded limited-slip differential, bigger brakes would look like?

Well British modifier, JE MotorWorks, has turned those pipe dreams into a reality with its modified 'Zulu' 4x4.

The Coventry-based company will build a limited-run, powered, as mentioned, by a 335kW/650Nm V8, which sounds incredible, cogs are changed via a six-speed tiptronic 'box.

R3.5-million a pop

The Zulu, of which JE will build just 25, would cost around R3.5-million in SA, with the modifications available for all Defender variants (90 to the 130 pick-up).

To set the Zulu apart from 'normal' derivatives, the performance models is festooned with JE badges on the front, twin rear exhausts, a pair of side vents, bigger front air intakes and LED exterior lights.

Move on into the interior and expect leather seats, air-con, heated seats and sound -proofing in case the awesome V8 is too loud for liking. We love it!
