When a discussion is had about classic performance cars, Lamborghini's Countach is right up there with the best of them.

The Countach first made its global debut in 1974 and was distinctive with its 'wedge' or sharp edge design made famous by designer Marcello Gandini.

In its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the legendary Countach, the Italian supercar brand is launching a series of four videos on its social media channels.

Engine sizes came in 4.0 and 5.0-litres and also available in various guises. Out of all the models, the LP 400, with 152 series units produced up until 1977, continues to be the most sought-after version by collectors.

Modern Lamborghini's like the Aventador, Huracan and Sian produce ridiculous amounts of speed but the Countach still takes the cake as the most iconic model to bear the raging bull badge.
