Cars and songs have come a long way with plenty of classics being created over the years by popular artists of their respective generations.

Not many artists from today's era sing - or rap - about cars in particular but they were prevalent back in the 70's and 80's.

Timeless classics

Most of the songs featured on the list are from the period of when timeless classic cars were building up to their peak.

'Bugatti', a song released by Ace Hood in 2013 is the most recent example of a car being referenced in a song.
