Jaguar Land Rover is one of the premium players in the local automotive scene. Their vehicles offer the best of British automotive technology, and South Africans do not doubt how good their vehicles are.

In July 2021, 32 949 new vehicles were sold in South Africa, which, according to Naamsa, the local Automotive Body Council, is a 17% growth over the corresponding period in 2020. Of the almost-33 000 new vehicles sold in July, Jaguar Land Rover sold 230 vehicles. Though this might not seem like a significant number, the Group stands to make a pretty penny when you consider that the most affordable vehicle in its portfolio retails for R785 024.

Here's the breakdown of Jaguar Land Rover's sales figures in July 2021.

Defender goes top

The Range Rover Sport was the next best on 38 units, followed by the aesthetically pleasing Range Rover Velar (33). Over at Jaguar, the F-Pace impressed with 25 units sold, with the Land Rover Discovery just one behind on 24 units.

The smaller Discovery Sport sold 22 units, ahead of the Range Rover Evoque on 17 units.

The Jaguar E-Pace (12), Range Rover (7), the all-electric Jaguar I-Pace (3), and Jaguar's F-Type and XF on one unit each, round out the Group's showing.
