Can you believe the year's first month is already done and dusted? We're well into the swing of things, and a host of new cars have been announced for the South African market in 2023.

Toyota recently held its annual State of the Motoring Industry address for 2023, revealing some of its vehicles headed for our local shores. Volkswagen also shared its plans for new models this year; this included the new Amarok and Golf R and a few more exciting models.

Suzuki Auto SA hosted News24 Motoring at the Auto Expo in India last month, and contributor Tyrone Paulsen shares more info on the exciting new cars coming our way - yes, including that 5-door Jimny (multiple air fist pumps from our side).

This issue also includes the latest bakkie report; I review the Hyundai Creta, and contributor Dieter Losskarn drives the crazy new Porsche 911 Dakar in Morocco.
