With President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement of Level 3 being back in place as of Tuesday, here's what you need to know if you're planning to be on the road.

Many South Africans are still on holiday, and are concerned about being on the road during the adjusted Level 3 lockdown restrictions.

Interprovincial travel is still allowed with no limitations, and holiday-makers will be able to travel home. However, you'll need to plan your travelling accordingly as the curfew for all South Africans is at 21:00 until 06:00. You'll need to be off the road and possibly overnighting at accommodation along the way if you're planning on a long drive home.

While travel regulations remain largely unchanged from Level 1 lockdown, Ramaphosa has urged citizens to avoid travelling to or from Covid-19 hotspots, and no order has been gazetted within the Disaster Management Act.

If you've had plans, it would be best to stay home and not attend any gatherings as these are prohibited. Let's rather sacrifice now, so that we can all celebrate with our loved ones once the numbers have decreased substantially.
