Johannesburg - Isuzu has expanded its bakkie range with the addition of a new special edition version - the KB X-Rider.

The limited edition is based on the 250 HO Hi-Rider 4x2 in extended and double cab body styles.

The new bakkie gains several improvements such as black diamond-cut 18" alloys, black tubular side-steps and new LEDs. The X-Rider is offered in white, silver or red.

Interior made more special

The X-Rider is fitted with a new towhitch with a 2.1-tonne braked trailer capacity. Inside, it's fitted with leather seats, X-Rider logo embroidered on the front headrests, leather-trimmed steering wheel, red stitching and remote keyless entry.

Further cabin enhancements include red stitching on the gearlever, steering wheel and the seats. Black inserts are used on the doors (with a bold red ‘X’ motif), with the same gloss finish used on the aircon vents, audio system and the gearshift.

All X-rider derivatives are powered by the new, 100kW/320Nm version of Isuzu’s 2.5-litre turbodiesel.

The X-Rider will be available at Isuzu dealerships from the first week of July.

The X-Rider is equipped with the following:

Black front bumper guard
Light Emitting Diode (LED) daytime running lights
Wheel caps with the Isuzu branding in red
Black tubular side steps
Black sports bar
Blacked-out B-pillar
X-Rider body decals
255/60 all-terrain rubber on 18" diamond-cut alloys
