Motorists have been battling to book online slots on the NaTIS system for driving licence appointments, especially during the national lockdown restrictions came into effect. However, the system was a failure even before the pandemic hit almost a year ago.

During this time, nothing has been done to improve the system, and according to the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), there have been attempts to clear out corruption by creating random slots to minimise this.
