It's drag race time again, and on this occasion, it's a Volkswagen Group affair as the new Bentley Flying Spur battles against Germany's Audi RS7 and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid.

All three cars feature all-wheel drive and turbocharged motors with huge outputs, in fact the total number of kilowatts is 1408kW! See which car has the bragging rights in the drag race but first see how the three pretenders stack up.

Bentley Flying Spur

At the heart of the newest car here, is an upgraded version of Bentley’s 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12, mated to a dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox for faster, smoother gear changes. The new TSI engine delivers 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 333 km/h.

The Flying Spur has 467kW and 900Nm and weights 3000kg.

Underneath that massive body is a new and advanced aluminium and composite chassis. For the first time the Crewe-built vehicle is fitted with electronic all-wheel steering, the company says this combines with active all-wheel drive and dynamic ride – the world’s first 48V electric anti-roll system.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid

The Porsche is the only hybrid among the trio and boasts combined power of 500kW and 850Nm that results in a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3/5 seconds and a top speed of 310km/h.

Its turbocharged V8 engine is unstoppable, and with hybrid power, it's the most advanced set up here. Porsche quotes a gross mass at 2885kg.

Audi RS7

The SA-bound RS7 employs a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with power figures of 441KW and 800Nm. Slap that power onto its famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system and you have a 0-100km/h acceleration of 3.6-seconds.

The team at Carwow says: "It’s opulent super-saloon vs sports hybrid vs speedy four-door coupe! But which of these three very different machines will come out on top?

The Bentley gets the biggest engine – a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12! It dwarfs the other cars’ twin-turbo V8s, but it’s also the heaviest one here. Will the Panamera’s electric motor gives it the edge? Or will the RS7 – the lightest of the trio – steal it? Watch now and find out!"
