A 21-year-old cyclist was killed on Friday morning after he collided with a taxi on the R103 before the Cedara bridge, near Hilton.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele, said the cyclist was attempting to change lanes when he collided with the taxi. “He sustained severe injuries and was declared dead at the scene,” said Mbele.

She added that the case was still under investigation by Hilton police. Mbele also said that no one has been arrested at this stage.
