THE son of Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Prince Phumaphesheya Buthelezi (49), died yesterday from drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Liezl van der Merwe, IFP spokesperson, announced the death and said the funeral would be held tomorrow at Buthelezi’s Mahlabathini residence in KwaPhindangene. Prince Phumaphesheya had been ill for a long time. The IFP leader lost another son in 2004, Nelisuzulu. It was later made public that he had died of Aids.
