OFFICERS investigating the brutal murder of KwaZulu-Natal businessman Nhlanhla Gasa have identified a prime suspect in the case.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Vincent Mdunge said the Durban North SAPS, which is investigating the murder, had confirmed that an arrest was imminent.
Gasa’s body was found floating in the Tugela River last Tuesday with multiple stab wounds. The 63-year-old had been stabbed to death in his upmarket Umhlanga home in the early hours of Tuesday, after which his body was bundled into his luxury car and then thrown off the John Ross bridge near Stanger. His car was destroyed in a fire. The motive for the killing is unknown.
