THE body of a missing meter taxi driver from Howick was found by a passer-by in Matimatolo near Greytown on Tuesday.
The Witness reported yesterday that Ntsikelelo Neville Mbali (54) was last seen on October 18 in the area. Mbali’s family said they were unhappy with the way the matter was handled by the police.
The family reported him missing after his wife, Pamela, could not reach him on his cellphone.
She said yesterday that the police found her husband’s car being driven by an unknown man, but they did not stop or question him.
Howick police spokesperson Captain Lolly Moodley said the car had not been circulated as stolen.
A murder case has now been opened.
