A hot shower is one of the non-negotiables in our family and I suspect in many families, although there are suggestions that unless you are involved in really dirty work, we actually bathe too much for a healthy skin.

Hot water uses around half the electricity in the average home, so this is obviously an important subject, especially for those trying to do their bit for the country, not to mention the planet, and use less or no Eskom power.

And of course with load shedding, we are all periodically missing out on that regular hot shower anyway. I would hasten to add we too at our green home; when there is inclement weather for three consecutive days.
