A murder charge was withdrawn on Friday against 44-year-old Chris Luus who was accused of killing his partner, Annel Snyman, at a Drakensberg resort in the Winterton area, KwaZulu-Natal, in September 2019.

Luus was arrested in Bela-Bela in Limpopo in November 2019 in connection with the death of Snyman (38) whose body was found hanging behind the bathroom door at the lodge where the couple stayed on September 9 that year.

She was from Loebies Guest Farm, a wildlife sanctuary near Bela-Bela.
