Nompilo Mkhize took to social media to highlight claims that actress Phindile Gwala scratched her on Saturday night after throwing her phone to the ground believing Mkhize was secretly filming her.

AFTER claiming she was allegedly assaulted by actress, Phindile Gwala outside Cubana on Saturday night and opening a case of common assault, Pietermaritzburg woman Nompilo Mkhize said she has chosen peace over violence and decided to withdraw the charges.

In what has been a highly publicised incident on social media after she posted the incident, Mkhize said she was outside filming the night’s events when Gwala, who plays Nonnie on Muvhango, allegedly approached her and pulled the phone out of her hand and went through her photo gallery where she deleted the first video she came across and then threw her phone to the ground.

“She basically charged at me outside the place and screamed in Zulu, ‘Here’s another one.’ I figured she must have been dealing with people taking pictures of her inside but then she took my phone and went through it and deleted a video.
