Convicted ex-school counsellor, child rapist and molester, Darren Goddard, remains a free man pending sentencing procedures.
Goddard, a former school guidance counsellor at a Pietermaritzburg primary school, was on Friday found guilty by Judge Kate Pillay, sitting with assessor, Hawa Dhoda, of one count of rape and five of sexual assaults of young boys he counselled, as well as of one count of accessing child pornography.
Defence advocate Shane Matthews asked that the case be adjourned for the defence to obtain a forensic pre-sentencing report and it is now set down from July 13 to 15.
