Police in Durban are investigating a case of murder after a ‘severely dismembered’ woman’s body was found in the bottom of a drain.

The body was found on Saturday afternoon on Solomon Mahlangu Drive in Cato Manor.

Police Search and Rescue teams retrieved the body from the two-meter deep manhole.

The woman was yet to be identified at the time of publication.

Captain Nqobile Gwala said circumstances surrounding the murder were still being investigated.
