The ANC has accused the DA of not supporting local artists after the opposition party voted against a R2 million virtual concert in Durban.

The Durban Tourism artists economic recovery destination promotion programme was tabled for approval before the executive council (Exco) this week.

The programme was approved with an ANC majority despite the DA voting against it. According to the report, the programme seeks to showcase Durban to SA while simultaneously supporting local artists who are struggling due to recent gathering restrictions.
