Thembinkosi Ngcobo, the recently fired eThekwini Municipality head of Parks, Culture and Recreation (PRA), will be challenging his dismissal in court.

On Thursday, Ngcobo released a statement through a publicity company alleging the City acted improperly in firing him from his job, which he has held for over 20 years.

Ngcobo was dismissed on June 14 after an investigation found that he failed to report an irregular R140 000 contract.
