Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a man who is believed to be son-in-law of the late Yaganathan “Teddy Mafia” Pillay was shot and wounded in Shallcross, south of Durban on Wednesday. 

Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said two victims, aged 28 and 41, were taken to a local hospital and both are in a stable condition.

Kesavan Isaac Naidoo (41) the son-in-law of Pillay was one of the wounded. The incident was captured on CCTV and the footage soon went viral on social media. In the video, a white sedan can be seen driving past and parking in distance from a Toyota Fortuner.
