There has been a change in the schedule of refuse collection and street sweeping services in Umlazi, said eThekwini Municipality.

The municipality said in a statement on Wednesday that residents must note the change in the schedule.

“Refuse removal days have been changed to Friday in the AA, M, L, CC and Zamani sections. The changes will come into effect from November 1.

Residents are requested to adhere to the new collection schedule and ensure that refuse is placed on the verge on the morning of the collection day as outlined above, including on public holidays,” read the statement.

For any enquiries, residents can contact the Durban Solid Waste (DSW) helpline on 031 311 8804 or email dsw@durban.gov.za.
