The second bout of floods has damaged homes and infrastructure in parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

In Umdloti, north of Durban, some residents in Surfside residential units in Bellamont Road lost their homes when a portion of a block of flats collapsed on Saturday evening. In several instances, they also lost their belongings, including luxury vehicles, some of which were buried underneath the rubble when the road was washed away and the building collapsed.

No casualties were reported as residents were evacuated before the collapse of the building.
