The DA is gearing up to approach the high court for an urgent interdict against uMgungundlovu District boss, Dr Ray Ngcobo, after he withheld the December pay of three of its councillors over a seat allocation dispute.

The affected councillors are Bongumusa Nhlabathi, Ross Strachan and Sibusiso Chonco who are part of the DA delegation from Msunduzi.

The matter first came up at Thursday’s meeting where the DA accused Ngcobo of flouting both the Municipal Structures Act and labour laws.
