Former liberation army war vets who invaded close to 300 flats at the Aloe Ridge social housing complex in Westgate two years ago say they’ll never leave, and they want KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala to intervene in the eviction case brought against them.

Following Thursday’s Pietermaritzburg high court proceedings pitting the war vets against Capital City Housing (CCH), which owns the invaded flats, the war vets said they were not concerned about the court’s verdict, likely to be delivered in the next few weeks.
