Three influential KwaZulu-Natal leaders in the ruling party’s provincial top five leadership structure will be fighting for their political survival in the upcoming provincial conference.

This as an ANC faction in KZN intensifies its campaign to have ANC provincial treasurer, Nomusa Dube-Ncube who is also the treasury MEC; the party’s provincial deputy secretary Sipho Hlomuka, who is currently the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta); and the party’s provincial deputy chairperson, Mike Mabuyakhulu, removed from their ANC positions.

According to sources within the party, the faction is lobbying ANC regions and branches for support in their campaign to have the three removed from the ANC’s top provincial leadership structure.
