The ANC Musa Dladla region in Richards Bay is holding its elective conference which will influence power dynamics in KwaZulu-Natal.

The current ANC Musa Dladla chairperson, Mdu Mhlongo, will be contesting against his deputy, Thembeka Mchunu, for the regional chairperson position.

An ANC MP, Mchunu is the wife of the former KZN premier, Senzo Mchunu, the minister of water affairs and sanitation.
