Residents in KwaZulu-Natal have been urged to brace themselves for extremely cold temperatures over the weekend.

South African Weather Services (Saws) forecaster, Wisani Maluleke, said they were expecting the temperatures in the province to drop considerably over the weekend.

“With the cold front making landfall into the country, the KZN province started experiencing cold to very cold temperatures from Wednesday. Extremely cold temperatures will be felt over the western parts of the province as well as in the Drakensberg areas,” he said.
