Thembeka Sithole was stabbed to death at her home in Bhamshela.

Traditional leaders and politicians in Bhamshela, near Dalton, have called on the Police Minister, Bheki Cele, to intervene following the recent murder of seven people in the area in separate attacks.

Chief Mhlabunzima Mthuli, of eMathulini, is also planning an imbizo, which is scheduled to take place this weekend, in a bid to address residents on the ongoing killings in the area.

Amongst those killed was Thembeka Sithole (34) who was stabbed at her home on April 4. Her death was the seventh murder within two weeks. She was found with stab wounds on the head and body near their rondavel at Hlathikhulu.
