Arthur Zwane is demanding compensation for “unlawful” arrest.

ANC heavyweight Arthur Zwane, who was accused of shooting a security guard who asked him to sanitise, wants the police ministry to compensate him for the “unlawful arrest”.

This after the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) had found that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute the Newcastle-based ANC leader.

Zwane, a former ANC eMalahleni regional chairperson, was arrested in November after the security guard at a local hardware was shot several times.
