Crime a major concern for communities in rural KZN

Farmers’ and rural communities’ safety continues to be a big concern in KZN as they remain vulnerable to crime, with seemingly little being done to avert it.

This is according to KZN violence monitor and crime analyst Mary de Haas, who said criminals were targeting rural areas due to the lack of police visibility in those areas.

Her comments come after the province reported two brutal incidents of farm attacks this week in a matter of 24 hours.
