The DA's elections final push rally showcasing its strength in the hotly contested uMngeni Municipality got underway Howick on Friday.

By Friday morning throngs of DA supporters continued to stream into the Karkloof Farmers Market Hall where the rally is being held.

Clad in blue colours, the party's supporters arrived in minibus taxis and private vehicles.

The DA, which in the 2016 municipal elections narrowly lost the uMngeni Municipality to the ANC, is pushing to dislodge the ruling party from power in the November 1 polls.
